IRHA General Body Meetings are held each Monday at 5:15pm in the Senate Chambers of Reitz Union.
Members of IRHA hold voting and speaking rights, which gives them the ability to participate in discussions and to vote on legislation and IRHA elections. A ‘member’ is defined as a student who is serving on an Area Government Executive Board (President, Treasurer, Historian, etc.); Directors; Members at Large; and any University of Florida student who wishes to join the organization.
To become a Member at Large (MAL), students must attend at least two complete IRHA meetings and then submit an MAL application, which can also be located under the Documents tab to the left. This is a rolling application and can be submitted at any point throughout the year.
Roll is called at the beginning and end of each IRHA meeting, with each call counting for 1/2 of an attendance point. (If a student misses only the beginning call, they will be charged a half-absence.)
Members are allowed three and a half absences for each semester. If a member feels an absence should be excused, they can submit a statement to the IRHA Secretary through the link shown to the left.
If a member is not able to attend, they are allowed to send a substitute to the meeting. A substitute is someone who lives in the same residential area as the member, and who does not currently serve on that area’s Executive Board
