Writing on the Wall Applications are out! Find them here!

The Writing On The Wall Project is both a communal and personal experience. Through the act of physically constructing and tearing down a wall representing oppression and inhumanity towards all people, the project strives to empower the community to create positive change for the future.

We will build a 40 foot by 9 foot cinderblock wall in the Plaza of the Americas during People Awareness Week after having individuals paint on bricks, words or phrases that have hurt, offended, or maginalized them. After the wall stands for a week, the community will come together to pull down this wall, symbolically tearing down the barriers between us. This project is not designed to make great or large scale changes.

It is about starting dialogue and raising awareness in an effort to lay the path for greater understanding and respect for one another.
